CitroSan is a natural, biodegradable drinking water sanitiser to reduce the transmission of diseases.

CitroSan is a natural product extracted from oranges, is non-toxic and is effective against a wide range of pathogens. It also works as a stimulant for maintaining natural immunity. Used regularly, CitroSan will reduce disease transmission and improve the survival of fledglings and adult birds.

CitroSan is a natural product extracted from oranges, it is non toxic, OGM free and works as a natural sanitizer against a wide range of pathogens, as well as maintaining a natural immunity too.

Birds enjoy bathing with each other, they also wash food in the same bath and take water back to nestlings. This is an ideal way of spreading diseases such as Salmonella and Trichomonas which can decimate nestlings.

Adding CitroSan, a natural product, to your bird baths will help reduce the spread of diseases between wild birds who may bathe or wash food in the bird bath. It will greatly reduce the bacteria and protozoa which would otherwise contaminate the water.

CitroSan is also ideal for including in the water for sprouting seeds or pulses for feeding to birds as it will control the bacterial levels.

We recommend a drinking / bathing water treatment level at a rate of 5ml CitroSan per 1 litre of drinking water. The measure included holds 10ml which is sufficient to treat 2 litres of drinking water.

A. Yes, it will help slow down the freezing process of water, effective down to -2 degrees Celsius.

Q. Can I use CitroSan in the drinking water for my chickens?
A. Yes, CitroSan can be used in the drinking water, and it is also ok to eat the eggs from chickens who have consumed CitroSan.

Q. What if my cat or dog drinks CitroSan; for example, if they lick at the bird bath?
A. It is not a problem if a cat or dog consumes CitroSan, it is not harmful to dogs or cats.
